Gabblegames Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-10-04
Gabblegames is about playing games with people — friends, and people you meet in a room. These guidelines keep that good for everyone. They sit underneath our Terms of Service; breaking a guideline here is breaking the terms.
The short version
Be someone you'd want to be matched with. Don't make anyone — especially a kid — feel unsafe, harassed, or exploited. Play fair. Keep your money in your pocket; the coins stay in the app.
1. Treat people decently
- No harassment, hate speech, slurs, or targeted abuse of anyone for who they are.
- No threats of violence, encouragement of self-harm, or doxxing (sharing someone's private information without consent).
- No sexual content, sexual harassment, or grooming behaviour — this applies with extra weight around minor accounts, which are kept apart from adults for exactly this reason. Any attempt to contact, solicit, or exploit a minor is reported to the relevant authorities, not just actioned in-app.
- No impersonating another player, a Gabblegames admin, or anyone else.
2. Voice and chat
Rooms can be loud and fast — that's the point — but:
- Keep your mic for the game and the conversation, not for abuse, loud disruptive noise, or playing audio to drown others out.
- Don't share illegal content in chat, voice, images, or files: that includes content exploiting a minor, content that's illegal to possess or distribute in most jurisdictions, and content that incites violence.
- Minors and adults are kept in separate rooms and chats by design. Don't try to get around that (e.g. by lying about your age, or coordinating off-app to contact someone in the other group).
3. Play fair
- No bots, scripts, or modified clients to play for you or change what the game shows you. The computer "robot" players the app itself uses to fill empty seats are the only automated play allowed.
- No colluding with another player to guarantee a coin-game outcome (e.g. "boosting" an account by throwing games on purpose).
- No exploiting bugs for coin or item gain — report them instead ([PLACEHOLDER: contact email] or in-app, once a report flow for bugs exists).
- Sandbagging, stalling, or AFK-ing a match on purpose to frustrate other players isn't in the spirit of the game, and repeated reports of it can lead to action on your account.
4. Coins and items stay in the app
- Coins are virtual, never cash, and can't be cashed out — see the Terms and Privacy Policy.
- Don't buy, sell, or trade accounts, coins, or items outside Gabblegames. Every such "marketplace" we've seen for games like this is also a magnet for account theft and scams — we won't help recover an account lost that way.
- Don't ask other players for real money, gift cards, or anything of value in exchange for coins, items, or favours in-game.
5. Reporting and what happens next
Every chat, room, and profile has a way to report. When you report someone, tell us what happened — context helps us act faster. We review reports and may:
- Warn the account;
- Mute or remove someone from a room or chat;
- Suspend or permanently ban an account;
- Refer illegal content or behaviour (especially anything involving a minor) to law enforcement.
We can't always tell you what action was taken against someone else's account, but we do act on reports.
6. If you're a minor using Gabblegames
You're welcome here from age 13. A few things are different for you by design, not as a punishment:
- You won't see or be offered coin-stake games — only free play.
- The app keeps you out of rooms, matches and chats with adult accounts, and adult accounts out of yours.
- Play nearby is different: it connects to any phone close by, whatever its age. Only play nearby with people you know.
- If someone finds a way around that and makes you uncomfortable, report it immediately — this is the one category of report we treat as highest priority.
7. Enforcement
We'd rather coach than ban, but repeated or serious violations — and anything involving the exploitation of a minor, immediately and without warning — lead to account suspension or a permanent ban. Banned accounts may not create a new account to get back in; doing so is itself a violation of the Terms.
8. Changes
We'll update these guidelines as the app and its games grow. Material changes will be flagged in-app.
